Wordpress event manager plugin - looks like this hasn't been operable for a while, but it was started.
Eventr Wordpress plugin - very under-developed, looks like it has no options beyond just allowing people to sign up and display the attendee list, and as of January was very bug-riddled.
This list of event management plugins has some good options, including the next one:
WordPress Events Manager plugin - supposedly very full-featured, and current as to a month ago...

A volunteer sign-up system similar to a ticket tracker? Find a wordpress module (or combination of modules) that will give us:

the ability to make sign-up lists for tasks
varying degrees of access and publicity
ability to easily see

what needs doing,
who's doing what,
what already got done...ideally in as simple a way as possible.

Adding deadlines to this,
integrated with the calendar in some fashion, would be a truly unnecessary bonus feature.

We would use it for:

BIRD tasks for during ride
Volunteer tasks during month
Hub tasks

Some possible solutions:

CrowdFavorite's Task Products - the free version does not support multiple users w/ various access levels, however.
Wordpress Task Manager plugin - a free plugin that's very simple...not a lot of elaborate features.
Project Pier - open-source and free, this is standalone (i.e. not integrated w/ wordpress)

beautiful 3-column layout
well-integrated forums - should we keep our existing forum module (if so, it needs fixing so the formatting, etc. works right) or use a different one? is there a better/more creative way to direct traffic towards the forums, perhaps less to the page comments?
sync'ed user accounts between all online services:
- wordpress accounts on main site should be primary
- mailman accounts for e-mail lists
  - possible solutions are tagged on this page
- mediawiki accounts for this wiki
- Facebook connect?
- OpenID - or read more about OpenID
a wordpress frontend/UI for managing mailman e-mail list subscriptions, etc.
